Born and raised 30 miles east of Pittsburgh, PA in North Huntingdon Twp. Graduated from Norwin Sr. High School June 1968. Attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH 1968-1970. Worked for the Union RR, a subsidiary of U.S. Steel, summers 1968-1970. Enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, Sept 1970; retired as a CWO4(BOSN), Sept 2000. Graduated from Northeastern University, Boston, MA with a BS in History, June 1995. Raised a MM in Evening Star Lodge #147 Buckfield, ME June 1994. Initially served as Master 1999
